I was just going through my regular browsing hobby and i came through an article which I thought to share with my Blog Friends- so read this guys!
"Very few in India except his staunch apparatchiks in the Sangh Parivar would doubt that the leader of the opposition, L K Advani is a shrewd public speaker, who can rouse rubble and stir movement, and hence create communal polarisation. He speaks as per the occasion, region and audience, and even at the age of 82, he has not forgotten to shout at times, while changing gear to behave like a philosopher on occasions that better suit his political purpose.
Since his image got a severe bad patch in the aftermath of the destruction of Babri Mosque in 1992, he worked, with the proactive help of mainstream media, hard to metamorphose his personality into a moderate, smiling, cinema-loving gentleman. But will those unfortunate people forget him who faced the wrath of communal upsurge unleashed in the name of building Ram Temple?
Let us have a look at his recent public speeches. On September 27, while speaking in Moradabad, a western Uttar Pradesh city known handicraft for brass metal, Advani said it was “his wish that a temple was constructed in Ayodhya”. Quite clearly, it was a deliberate nostalgic act to send the message to the audience, using religious sentiment as a tool, but he was careful since as a Home Minister for five years he had not fulfilled that wish. However, by just raising the issue, he sent the signal that he still cares for Hindus in building the temple. Whether Advani is serious about constructing a Ram Temple or not, he is very sure of using the issue to exploit votes in coming elections. This is a vote bank politics for which he and his party members have left no stone unturned in blaming the Congress party on every occasion. And like Congress party, BJP does not lag behind in vote bank politics at all.
On September 29, Advani was speaking in Meghalaya, Shillong. And what did he say to the representatives of Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and tribal organisations there? In Shillong, Advani pointed out the attacks on Christians in Orissa and Karnataka. But the height of the political shrewdness is palpable when he said: “I am a secular. I strongly condemn these acts of violence and vandalism which cannot be condoned or justified”.
Interestingly, all his life, Advani used the word ‘pseudo-secular’ for others, especially for the Congress party leaders, or authors, journalists and others who advocated the great Indian secular ethos. This is the first time he claims he is secular. Ironically, Advani, before reaching Shillong, never condemned violence in Orissa and Karnataka and elsewhere, leave alone condemning the VHP and the Bajrang Dal. Neither did he least accepted the idea of banning Bajrang Dal while on-board interview with NDTV correspondent recently.
In Shillong, he observed: “Let the people belonging to all religious communities consciously strengthen the bonds of Indianness that tie us together in the larger interest of national community”. Well, is he serious about the coexistence of different communities to form Indianness? This statement is in contradiction of what he has preached whole of his political career, particularly from 1989-1992 during Ayodhya movement, that left a huge trails of death and destruction in Bihar, UP and other parts of the country. Though responsible for thousands of deaths, Advani, as well as others, is still out of any legal action against him and it seems law will not touch him since it is for the poor, not the rich and the powerful.
In Varanasi on October 18, in a party rally, Advani accusing the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre of pursuing vote bank politics, Advani said this had turned out to be a greater evil than the menace of terror. But what about his own vote bank politics? The growing number of communal riots in different parts of the country on eve of elections is engineered by VHP and Bajrang Dal only to fetch more votes for the BJP that Advani knows very well.
Isn’t it impossible to be in politics and be impartial? In his essay, Of Nature in Mane, Francis Bacon says, “Nature is often hidden; sometimes overcome; seldom extinguished.” In Advani’s case it is always true. In his long-cherished dream of becoming the Prime Minister of this country, Advani is making different statements before different sets of people at different places. And the motive is vote, not people’s welfare. "

Political drama!
Atlast the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Singh has the rights to do what really is needed to do for this country. All these 4yrs, because of Left party, our Govt was just making plans but were not able to pass them as their so-called alliance never agreed with them. But kudos to Dr. Manmohan that he finally moved the Confidence Motion to Parliament and Won!
I was never interested in politics( kind of just hated it) but after watching and knowing abt the N-deal i really felt its actually good for country. But our Opposition parties never understood.
LOKSABHA session: I was following the debate carefully and noticed one thing, all the UPA supporters had such good knowledge about the issue and most of them gave excellent speeches. few among them are-- Rajiv gandhi's avatar Rahul Gandhi, Omar Abdullah, Pranab Mukherjee and ofcourse Laloo Prasad Yadav whose speech was taken as those of an Standing Comedian, but He made SENSE.. But the speeches by the Opposition were not convincing at all. They went off track totally.. like L.K. Advani's speech which was more of a personal attack on P.M.. As a youth i observed one think-- most of the supporters of Govt were intellectuals but the supporters of the Oppostion looked like Paanchvi Fail, they knew nil about the issue. All they spoke about the issue was that it will take away India's right to test Nuclear Weapons, and if we come to power we'll renegotiate. THAT"S IT??
Dr. Manmohan's speech really made so much sense, but he could never deliever them. Atleast Media should have covered about his full speech and not only about what he spoke about L.K Advani and his astrologers.
All that matters to the Opposition is - 'POWER'. Had they really cared about the poor, they would have let Rahul Gandhi continue his speech and not laugh when he started his speech with a case study about Kalavati, Saraswati and their plights. If the N-deal was against the poor and middle-man then why didn't they hear what Rahul Gandhi had to offer about the issue. But I felt his sppech was very nice and he showed a true politician's spirit.
The act of showing bundles of notes in Parliament by the BJP leaders was sick. L.K Advani in this press Conference said in his 40 yrs of political Experience he never saw such bribery act by any political party to save the govt or come in power. My question is how could he advise his members to bring the money in Parliament and exhibit them. Being a Senior Member, he didn't show his regards to this House and his own role. He din't have faith in Govt atleast should have had faith in the Speaker.
Somnath Chatterjee is by far the best Speaker I ever saw or heard about. Its really sad the way his Party ( CPI(M), or the so-called China) has threw him out. But the whole country witnessed the way he handled the Session on 21-22 July. Kudos to his patience.
And in between comes our Behenji, Mayawati. All she knows is that She's a Dalit and wants to come to power! She thinks P.M role is as easy as handling the State's corrupt and lazy officers.
All I wish is the politicians come back to senses and Media, please cover what is really needed and informed.

GROSS?????
I recently saw the movie APOCALYPTO. reallyyy weirdy things happpened with me right from the time i thought of watching the movie.. first, i couldn't get the name of the movie. i not able to pronounce it properly. i was like acoplyto, acocalpyo and many more. and as soon as i entered the theatre we saw t
he fleshes of animal, the heart, the liver, and what all, eaten by the tribals. we at first were happy that this movie has subtitles as its a tribal lanmguage movie but then! whose gonna sit there and watch such a movie - a gross movie and read the subtitles? but eventually the whole audience did.. Within half hour, i was like i spend next 1 1/2 hr in the canteen and eat popcorns as my frds al wanted to watch.. but no company in the canteen so decided to sit.. i watched the gross parts through the reflection of the screen on the walls - as according to me, it will be more gross with the clear view than the blur one!(so imagine how much i exactly wanted to watch the movie.) but eventually the movie was great.. a great camera work, amazing sets, superb acting, very good make up and costumes, and the writer and director did spell-bounding job!
i loved the movie so much that i bought the DVD too but eventually i'l not watch it. too scred to watch it again! ( i screamed a lot during the movie and dunno how many exacvtly where praying that i leav from the theatre ;) ) but APOCALYPTO is a much watch movie and a proud possession!
